Types of FSSAI Food License
FSSAI issues three types of license based on the nature of the food business and turnover
FSSAI Basic Registration
FSSAI basic registration is required for all those people who initiate to start a new business in this industry and those who have 12 lacs turnover. if the sale is increased, they can move in state FSSAI registration.
FSSAI State License
This license is applicable to mid-sized companies that have an annual turnover between Rs.12-20 crores. And they can also apply for a central license if the operator works in two or more than the state.
FSSAI Central License
This license is applicable typically on large businesses with an annual turnover above Rs.20 crores. It is also required in cases where you need to supply at the government offices or Import / Export food products.

Who Required FSSAI Food License
- License/Registration with FSSAI is mandatory for every Food Business Owner.
- The person who deals in Import-Export for food has to get registered in FSSAI License (Food License in India) and also need to get IE Code from Assist File.
- When Food Business Operator is operating in two or more than two states, it just has to obtain one additional central License or the Head office/Registered office and also apply for a separate license for each location.
